It's A Fact! - part 1

In plants, both photosynthesis and respiration occur during the day. So, plants take in both carbon dioxide and oxygen during the day, for the 2 processes. However, photosynthesis does not occur at night. Only respiration takes place at night, which means that oxygen is taken in and carbon dioxide is released by plants at night.
